With a few simple questions, Lauren helps you tap into your unique style. Her classes range in size from 5 to 12 people, and she offers customized classes for small groups, families and individuals.
Materials can range from found objects to oils, acrylics, pastels, glues, wood, paper and more. This is not a guided art class. Lauren prefers the free-form style of teaching, versus the guided classes.  She says, "The guided classes are too much like 'paint by numbers' where everyone ends up with the same image at the end. My students and guests find our way to be more fun, unique and exploratory."

Santa Fe has long served as one of America's great art havens.  With a confluence of style's and cultures, studios and workshops, the town teems with opportunities to create, ideate and chase your imagination.  This two hour class promises to help you do just that - tap into your creative self and experiment with new mediums, demo unusual methods or just play around wherever you feel comfortable, whether that be paint, clay, bronze, wax, charcoal or turquoise.
Your private art class has no set standard and is fully custimizeable to you or your groups' specific goals.  Just let the studio know ahead of time what exactly you are interested in learning more about, and your instructor will be ready for you.  Learn how to combine parts to make a whole adding paint, discover tips when working with acrylics or find new ways to make collages.  Sip wine and sample chocolate as you relax and seek out a special state of mind to create new art with the help of an experienced, professional artist in her own personal studio in downtown Santa Fe.  All materials, wine and chocolate is included in your visit.

Float over the Rio Grande Valley during a sunrise hot-air balloon flight from Albuquerque, home of the largest hot-air balloon festival in the world. As the sun comes up over the Sandia Mountains, admire the dramatic reds and oranges that fill the sky, and learn about the features of the New Mexico landscape from your expert pilot. Back on the ground, celebrate a memorable flight with sparkling wine and a light breakfast for a perfect start to your day.

Rise early to begin your hot-air balloon experience (optional pickup from your Albuquerque hotel is paid directly to the tour operator). Stop into the downtown headquarters for check-in, then ride to the balloon launch site.
Your pilot begins the process of inflating the balloon when you arrive. Watch the fascinating transformation of the balloon as it fills up. You can even help out the crew during the inflation process for a more hands-on experience.
After a safety briefing, step into the balloon’s basket and take to the skies with your professional pilot. As you float high above the ground, enjoy incredible birds-eye views of Albuquerque and the Rio Grande Valley. Capture great photos of the Rio Grande River and the Sandia Mountains, the 17-mile (26-km) mountain range located to the east of Albuquerque.
Your pilot determines the route for the day depending on the wind’s direction. You may fly over the city of Albuquerque and even dip low enough to wave at people or skim the Rio Grande River. Then soar back up into the air again to get panoramic views of the New Mexico landscape. Throughout your flight, your pilot shares informative commentary about the landscape beneath you.
You can also hear first-hand accounts of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the world's largest hot-air balloon festival that takes place every October with some 750 balloons participating.
After approximately one hour in the air, your pilot lands the balloon and the ground crew comes to meet you. Celebrate your flight with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and a light continental breakfast. Then receive a flight certificate to commemorate your hot-air balloon experience before returning to the original starting point (with optional hotel drop-off paid to the tour operator).

Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge
The trip is into the history of New Mexico and our famous Rio Grande River Valley.  We will share the beauty of of the journey, the lore, and the excitement of a close encounter with nature.   An hour and a half south of Albuquerque, New Mexico is the Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge. During spring and fall migration, the 57,331-acre refuge is a spot to rest and refuel for many birds as they follow the Rio Grande through the woodlands which hugs the riverbanks.  The riverbank forest is called a Bosque and it is named for the Warm Spring Apache tribe that once occupied this area.  Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge contains thirty-thousand acres of wilderness, providing solitude and offering adventure to those who seek it. This dry desert habitat is home to jackrabbits, quail, and lizards, as well as creosote, sunflower, and mesquite.
The wetlands of the refuge are bordered by the Chupadera Mountians to the west and the San Pascual Mountains to the east.  During the Fall and Winter, the refuge is home to tens of thousands of cranes, geese, ducks and other migrating waterfowl following the river.   The first cranes and geese typically show up at the end of October, during which time coyotes, mule deer, and javelina are moving through open fields as well. Wild turkeys begin moving to the northern part of the refuge to join up with other family groups in separate male and female roosting flocks. Thousands of snow geese, Ross’s geese, and Sandhill cranes spend the night in water to protect themselves from predators. Near dawn, the geese take off en masse in search of fields throughout the Middle Rio Grande Valley to feed in for the day. They return at sunset.  When we drive the loop trail, we will see flooded lakes, feeding fields and, with luck,  hawks, eagles, blackbirds, ravens, coots, and other birds along with occasional mammals, such as mule deer, coyotes, and jackrabbits.  The sunset is time to watch as thousands of cranes return to the water after a day of feeding.  This fly-in is a breath-taking event never to be forgotten. As the Bosque del Apache settles into the night, we will say good-night to our adventure.  Returning to Albuquerque, we have the option to stop at the famous Owl Cafe for green-chili cheeseburgers with fries Make sure you bring a camera!
